The Bravo Academy's policies are in place to provide safety, consistency, and expectations for families and staff. All families registered for any Bravo Academy of Dance class are required to read and acknowledge by signature the polices listed below.
Holidays and Inclemate Weather
Classes begin on Monday, August 9, 2021. Bravo does not observe most Monday holidays or teacher workdays. We do this so that the students who dance on Mondays do not lose class time. Closings for vacations and holidays are listed below and will be listed in a monthly newsletter that is posted on the website. It is the parents' responsibility to read the newsletter, as it contains the information each family will need for the coming months. Any parent requiring a hard copy of the newsletter will receive one upon request. There is also a News Tab on the website to help keep everyone informed.
Thanksgiving Break- Monday, November 22, 2021, through Sunday, November 28, 2021 Classes will resume on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Bravo follows the Chatham County School System for their inclement weather cancellations. If there is an inclement weather event as determined by the school system, Bravo will close as well for the safety of all families and instructors. All weather-related cancellations will be posted on the website and emailed to families as soon as the decision is made. Parents should check the Chatham County School System website or local TV stations.
Due to scheduling difficulties, make-up days will not be offered, however, students are welcome to make up a canceled class in a comparable class within one month. There are no tuition reimbursements for inclement weather closings.
Class Withdrawal and Dissenrollment
Any student wishing to withdraw from any class may do so in writing via email or postal mail at least on month in advance. All recurring payments will stop the month after notice is received. Any fees related to the Recital or other Bravo events will not be reimbursed. Bravo Academy of Dance reserves the right to disenroll any student due to conduct of the student or family at the discretion of the owner. Parents who choose to drop off or pick up students are solely responsible for ensuring that the student enter and exit the building as required to attend classes. Once inside the building, a Bravo employee will be available to act as chaperone weather in class or in the lobby areas. All pre-combo, combo, and level 1 student must have an authorized adult escort them in and out of the building for any purpose. Bravo employees are responsible for facilitating the safety of every student once inside the building.
Every family must sign a liability release form upon registration or prior to any trial class. Bravo takes every precaution necessary to provide a safe environment for all students, however as with any physical activity, there are inherent risks. In the event of an accident regardless of cause, the dancer's personal medical insurance must be used for any doctor visits or treatments. Bravo Academy of Dance maintains liability insurance available to any parent wishing to review.
Bravo requires each family to sign and photo release form to acknowledge the use of any photo or video for any reason. Parents have the sole decision for allowing student photos to be used for any purpose. There may however, be circumstances where Bravo does not have control over the pictures or videos taken by outside entities. If a parent does not wish a student to be photographed during a public event (for example a holiday parade or birthday party) the parent must rely on their discretion in allowing their child to participate in the event.
New students are eligible for one free trial class available for each genre based on the age or level of the student. A parent must sign a liability release prior to the student entering the studio.
Returning students are eligible for one free trial class for any genre not already registered for to determine level of interest and the correct placement. Returning trail students must have a signed liability release on file before attending any class.
A trial class is required for all students considering dancing in a Senior Level class. The trial class will serve as a placement class. The participation of any dancer in a Senior Level class is at the discretion of the instructor and the studio Director or Owner.
Consistent attendance and promptness are important to student development and teamwork. Tardy students miss important warm-up exercises and conditioning. We expect some absences are unavoidable, especially those due to illness. A missed class may be made-up in a comparable class at a comparable level. Tuition reimbursements are not typically eligible for missed classes.
Level 3 and Senior Level classes move at a faster pace and consistent absences and tardiness effect the progress of the entire class. If a student has a mild injury that would hinder their dancing, we expect students at this level to make every effort to attend class as an observer.
Private lessons are available to students as an adjunct to weekly class time or for the purpose of performing a private or duet in the recital. Each individual instructor works with the family for scheduling and payment. Please discuss directly with the instructor of your choice if you are considering private lessons.
